How Many HIFU Sessions Do I Need?
Usually, only one or two sessions are required. You will see improvement within three to four weeks, with further gains over the next six months. Patients who undergo this treatment can achieve results that last more than 6 months.
How Long Does the Hifu Treatment Take?
Each session depends on the treatment area, but approximately 30 minutes for each area is recommended. Your treatment will be tailored to your individual requirements. Additional time may be needed if you want the treatment performed in more areas.
Can I Have a Lipo Sculpt HIFU Treatment?
HIFU treatment is ideal for men and women aged 30 to 70. There are several contraindications, such as:
Dysfunctions or hemorrhagic disorders
Skin disease or an active systemic disease, which may hinder regeneration
Anti-thrombosis therapy
Permanent dermal implants
Implantable electrical devices
Metal stents/implants in your neck or face (dental implants are fine)
Lesions or open facial wounds
Also, the treatment cannot be performed if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding.
Our full-face non-surgical treatment is perfect when paired with our skin tag removal or for any blemishes, so you have a flawless complexion afterwards.
Is There Any Downtime?
There is no downtime because it doesn’t require surgery, so you can return to work immediately. No special measures are needed.
A nourishing face mask is recommended to enrich your skin. You should moisturise your skin three times per day. Use sunscreen and avoid steam rooms plus saunas for two weeks.
Additionally, drink lots of water and make sure you avoid alcohol for a period of 24 hours. Any swelling or redness is short-lived.
Side Effects?
You could experience slight redness for several hours after the treatment. A few patients may have slight swelling, tenderness to touch, bruising or tingling, but these are mild and don’t last for long. Also, very rarely, there is short-lived numbness.
Does it hurt?
Lipo Sculpt HIFU doesn’t cause major discomfort; however, you may feel a warm sensation, tingling discomfort or a slight prickly pain lasting only a few seconds and only during the pulsation cycle, during the application of ultrasound energy.
The discomfort is often very brief and is a good indication that collagen formation has begun. Comfort thresholds can differ from one person to another. Patients typically leave feeling comfortable and excited about the benefits that lie ahead.
Is HIFU Safe?
The HIFU procedure has been used safely worldwide in more than 250,000 treatments. Ultrasound energy has been used safely in medicine for over 50 years.
Can High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound Replace a Facelift Procedure?
HIFU treatment targets your deep foundational layer, as in cosmetic surgery, though it will not duplicate facelift results. But it’s a great alternative, especially for people who aren’t ready for surgery or for those looking to extend cosmetic surgery effects.
